-Explain how words help people communicate.
-Understand and explain spelling rules.
-Understand the importance of the roots and origins of words.
-Be able to apply rules for everyday use.
Task: Students worked in groups to present their understanding of the central idea and lines of inquiry. They chose their medium of presentation (e.g., skit, slideshow, etc.)
